June Bags

These are the bags that I knit in June. Buttonhole bag for Vanessa in Paton's Royal Purple and Outback. I did add rows to the length. Vanessa saw Deco Ribbon Bag that she liked at the new Creative Fibers store in Windsor! She chose Berroco Zen Tokyo Rose - 8115. Bought 2 but only needed 1 to finish the bag. Also needed size 9 16" circulars and the only ones in stock were Clover Bamboo. I am still not enamored with bamboo: Buttonhole Variation. About 1/2 times the original pattern, elongated straps (80 stitches) and picked up and knit the flap. Buttonhole Bag for Tara: Lamb's Pride Worsted (85% Wool/15% Mohair), Colors: M-105 RPM Pink & M-120 Limeade. Double Stranded. Flower - Medium Rosette. Size 15, 24" circular needles. NB: Bought 2 limeade and 1 pink - I think 1 & 1 could make 2 of the smaller bags. Another option for a flower. Basically a doubled buttonhole with added straps and an inside pocket. Noro Kureyon :100 percent wool, 110 yards in each 50 gram-ball. Gauge is 5 sts = 1" on US7 needle. Color 40, Lot I -- a blend of aqua, turquoise, green, magenta and purple.
